Prevent damage
By effectively managing condensate, a condensation controller helps prevent water damage, maintain system efficiency, and reduce the risk of indoor air quality issues caused by excessive moisture or air humidity. They are mounted on cooling water pipes or on cooled surfaces and monitor if the temperature drops below the dew-point.
They measure the relative humidity to
– influence cooling power
– switch cooling systems on or off
– signal the point at which the temperature drops below the dew-point
This makes it possible to operate eg. chilled ceilings optimally even in critical climate conditions, without the formation of condensation.
Remarkably straightforward and durable design
Protected by the housing, relative humidity near to dew point can form inside. The aluminum plate is adjacent to the cooling pipe and transfers the cold to the water resistant Polyga measuring element. The set point can be set inside and has to be adapted to the local conditions.
The microswitch of the hygro module switches a changeover contact potential-free. The standard switch is lined with silver contacts. Optionally there is a microswitch with gold contacts.
Energy self-sufficient and maintenance-free
The Polyga® measuring element is a unique hygroscopic fibre that changes its length depending on the humidity. The changes in length are transferred to a microswitch, resulting in an controller that needs no auxiliary power supply. In pure ambient air the measurement element is maintenance-free.
