Humidity and temperature measurement for continuous fault-free operation
The reliability of measuring technology is a top priority for energy centres. Whether such centres are running extremely expensive systems or a large number of offshore wind turbines, malfunctions due to excessive humidity (and the associated condensation) often result in complicated maintenance and a loss of income.
Turbines, substations, pumps or entire electronics systems may be affected. A good climate extends system service life and prevents damage due to high humidity.
Condensation at dew point
Condensation forms on surfaces with a temperature that is below the dew point of the air to which they are exposed. The accumulation of condensate must be prevented. Condensate control is an important factor for the longevity of buildings and systems. Our condensation controllers do not require mains voltage and are virtually maintenance-free. Many of our transmitters also determine the dew point temperature (via analogue signal or Modbus).
Electric control systems and switchboard cabinets in unheated environments
Switchboard cabinets must be dry. The electronic components in a switchboard cabinet are sensitive to temperature fluctuations and high humidity. This is especially problematic in wind power plants, ships, aircraft and offshore installations.
Outdoor use at sea
Sensors and transmitters used in offshore installations must be resistant to air with a high salt content and to high wind speeds. Our transmitters for outdoor use have a very robust design. They can be optionally equipped for use near the sea, in deserts, on mountains or in areas with high air flow.
